The Norfolk County Heritage & Culture department is pleased to announce that this year’s summer camp program, Museum Summer Adventures, is offering both virtual and in-person programs.
The Province’s recently announced Roadmap to Reopening outlines that indoor facilities including museums can not open until Stage 3 tentatively scheduled for July 26th. As a result of this Provincial mandate, the museums will be offering virtual programs throughout the entire summer for nine weeks and in-person camps will begin as soon as we are able to open our facilities.
Children ages 6-10, join Heritage and Culture for live in-person camp programs taking place throughout August at the Port Dover Harbour Museum and the Waterford Heritage & Agricultural Museum. Summer Adventures celebrates history and our local landscapes. Join us and become a “Treasure Hunter” or “Cast your Net” and learn about the history of commercial fishing.
Programs will take place at the Port Dover Museum on Tuesdays and at the Waterford Museum on Wednesdays from 9 am to 4 pm. To ensure the safety of our participants and staff, there will be a maximum of 6 participants per session. The cost is $30 per session. Extended hours are available at an additional fee. ** Camp programming will be available to the public when museums are permitted to open under provincial regulations. **
